Connect your own Zoom or Google account once, and every booked session gets its link — for you and for your buyers — without anyone sharing a number.
When a buyer pays for a video or audio session, YouPage makes a meeting for it in the account you connected — Zoom, or Google Meet. A one-to-one session gets its own meeting; a group class has one meeting that everyone booked into it shares.
An audio call is the same kind of meeting with cameras off. On Zoom it starts with everyone's video off; on Google Meet, buyers are told they can join with their camera off. Either way, nobody is given a phone number.
Your buyer sees the link on their order page and in the reminders we email a day and an hour before. You see it on your Bookings page, and we email it to you an hour before the session. The call runs on your own Zoom or Google plan, so there is nothing extra to pay YouPage for it.
If a booking is cancelled or refunded before the session, its meeting is deleted — unless other people are still booked into the same class.
1. Open Dashboard → Bookings, and press Connect Zoom under Video calls. 2. Sign in to Zoom if asked, and press Allow. YouPage asks to create, read and delete meetings, and to see which account is connected — nothing else. 3. You come back to Bookings, which shows the account you connected.
Meetings are made in that account with a waiting room, so you let people in when you are ready. To join as the host, open the link while signed in to the same Zoom account.
One Zoom account can be connected to one shop.
Your Bookings page shows where each session stands — upcoming, happening now, done, cancelled or refunded. With Zoom it also shows when the meeting really started and ended, and says so if Zoom's free plan cut it off at 40 minutes.
1. Open Dashboard → Bookings, and press Connect Google Calendar. 2. Choose your Google account, and allow YouPage to see when you are busy and to manage the events it creates. 3. You come back to Bookings, which shows that the calendar is connected.
From then on, times you are already busy are not offered on your booking page, and every booked session is added to your calendar. If Zoom is not connected, each event gets a Google Meet link, which is the link your buyers get. Buyers are never added to your calendar event, so they never see your email address.
Google Meet doesn't tell anyone when a call starts or ends, so a Meet session's status comes from its booked time alone.
Sessions use Zoom. Google Calendar keeps doing its other two jobs: hiding the times you are busy, and putting each session on your calendar with the Zoom link in it. If Zoom ever fails to make a meeting, the session gets a Google Meet link instead.
Free Zoom accounts end every meeting at 40 minutes, one-to-one calls included. If your sessions are longer, upgrade Zoom, or use Google Meet. The Bookings page warns you when a connected free Zoom account is shorter than a session you sell. After upgrading, connect Zoom again so YouPage sees the new plan.
Free Google accounts allow long one-to-one calls, but end calls of three or more people at 60 minutes. Google Workspace accounts allow longer group calls.
From YouPage: open Dashboard → Bookings and press Disconnect next to Zoom or Google Calendar. We tell Zoom or Google to end YouPage's access at once, and delete what we hold.
From Zoom: sign in at marketplace.zoom.us, open Manage → Added Apps, find YouPage and press Remove. Zoom tells us, and we delete your connection straight away.
From Google: open myaccount.google.com/permissions, choose YouPage and remove its access. We delete the connection the next time we try to use it.
Sessions already booked keep their links: those meetings are still in your Zoom or calendar, and your buyers still need a way in. While nothing is connected, your video and audio calls can't be booked — your page says they are not taking bookings until you connect Zoom or Google again.
The access tokens Zoom or Google give us, encrypted; the connected Zoom account's name, email address and plan; and, for each booked session, the meeting's id and join link, and when it started and ended. From Google Calendar we read only when you are busy, never what your events are. We never read recordings, chats, participant lists or any meeting we did not make.
